How to Assign Your Account as NemKonto

What is NemKonto?
NemKonto is a personal or business bank account assigned to receive payments from public authorities in Denmark. It is mandatory for a company operating in Denmark to assign one of its accounts as NemKonto.
For businesses, the NemKonto is often used to:
- Receive VAT refunds
- Get payments from public institutions
- Be compliant with Danish legal requirements
How to assign your account as NemKonto using Zento?
Assigning a Nemkonto is a simple process, but it can take several weeks, so it is important to do this correctly the first time.
In addition to having your Danish account number, as a Zento and B4B Payments customer, you have also been assigned a vIBAN (alias account) for your NemKonto connection. It is a foreign account in Banking Circle, provided to you specifically for NemKonto purpose.
There are no limitations assigning a foreign account as NemKonto, this is legal and does not have any deficiencies compared to local accounts.
There are 2 options to assign an account as NemKonto for Zento customers, manually via a physical form or digitally via MitID business.
Before you get started
Please log in to your Zento account, open your DKK account details and copy NemKonto IBAN and SWIFT. You will need it in later steps.
Important! This is NOT your regular IBAN and SWIFT. You need NemKonto at the bottom of account details!
- Click on your account that you will assign as Nemkonto (This must be a DKK account!)
- Click on "details"
- At the bottom you will see your Nemkonto IBAN and SWIFT
