Zento Two-factor
Authentication (2FA) User
Guide
How It Works
- The system will request you to enter your usual password.
- You will then receive a one-time password (OTP) via our mobile app.
- Once you receive the OTP, you will need to enter it and click “Verify”
to log into your account.
The way payments are processed will have a slight change: When you enable OTP two-factor authentication, you won't need a separate transaction verification code anymore. By activating OTP 2FA, you'll be able to send
payments using a code that will be sent to your mobile device.
SETUP
Log in to the Zento mobile app using your password.
Go to My Profile > Two-factor authentication > Tap the "Enable" button. Please read the information carefully and tap the "Done" button.
You have now activated 2FA for your Zento account!
Please note:
- If you use the Zento app on multiple devices, choose a "master device" and activate 2FA on it to become a "trusted device."
Disabling 2FA:
- To deactivate 2FA for your Zento account, use the app. Go to "My profile" > Two-factor authentication > Press "Deactivate."
Important:
- If 2FA is deactivated, you can still log into your account, but you won't have access to its features. Only deactivate 2FA when reinstalling the Zento app or changing the "trusted device."
Why is it important?
- 2FA adds an extra layer of security. With 2FA enabled, any potential hacking attempts will be immediately detected and prevented. 2FA allows you to protect your Zento account not only with a password but also with a unique security key. This key will be given to you once and can only be used through the Zento app.
Additional Information:
-
For Android users: If you need to reinstall the Zento app on your device, first deactivate 2FA on your account. After reinstalling the app, activate 2FA on the device again. Reinstalling the Zento app without deactivating 2FA will reset your "master device" settings. In such cases, contact customer service to regain access to your account and deactivate 2FA.
-
For iOS users: There is no need to deactivate 2FA on your device when reinstalling the Zento app. All technical settings are linked to your Apple ID. If your "trusted device" is lost or stolen, please contact our customer service immediately to temporarily lock your account.
